Ocoee Oaks is a vibrant diverse church located just north of the West Oaks Mall on Clarke Road in Ocoee. We are a congregation of the United Methodist Church and support the church locally, nationally, and globally. We offer three distinctly different worship experiences. On Sunday we have Traditional Worship at 9:30am, ContemporaryWorship at 11am, and our Holy Grounds Café on Wednesday evenings with dinner starting at 6pm. There are many opportunities for you to connect with
others and get involved at Ocoee Oaks. In a world where community is vanishing, we seek to build community through belief in Christ.
History of Ocoee Oaks
Ocoee Oaks is a result of a church plant in 1995 (West Oaks United Methodist Church) and a merger with Ocoee United Methodist Church in 2001. When the churches merged, they created the new Ocoee Oaks United Methodist Church and moved to the current property in 2004. The church quickly grew to over 300 in worship and continues growing to
the present day.
Purpose and Vision
“Everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible…everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him.” Colossians 1:16 (Msg)
Ocoee Oaks seeks to make disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ and teach his precepts, baptizing transformed lives into service for the kingdom. Our purpose is to please God with our hearts and our lives as we live out our mission through our five core values:
“You created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.” Revelation 4:11 (NLT)
“They committed themselves to the teaching of the apostles, the life together, the common meal, and the prayers.” Acts 2:42 (MSG)
“Let your roots grow down into Christ and draw up nourishment from him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth.” Colossians 2:7 (LB)
“It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.”
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30 (NIV)
What Should You Expect?
What should I expect when I visit or attend Ocoee Oaks Church? You and your family can expect a fun, relevant, genuine experience with the Lord and the great people who make up OOC. Here are a few things you might want to know.
What will my first visit be like? Probably “not church as usual.” Depending on your church or religious background or past experiences, we hope your visit to OOC will be a refreshing, God-filled experience. Our atmosphere is casual, so feel free to wear your jeans or dress up and join us!
Where do I take my kids? Once you arrive, our Greeters will guide you to the nursery and Children’s Church. We try to make it easy and safe for both parents and kids. We have no doubt, once your kids arrive and get checked-in, they’ll have a blast learning about Jesus!
What do you have for adults? All kinds of ministries, classes, weekly groups that meet in homes or Church, events and outreach programs. Be sure to check out all the things we offer.
What’s Your Next Step?
Lace up your shoes and get to know the Mission and Vision at OOC! There’s so much to be a part of at Ocoee Oaks, so we encourage you to own your journey and get in on what God is doing here. Here are a few first steps that will get you into the flow at OOC and on your way to feeling right at home.
Take a Tour: Feel free to talk to one of our Greeters or Ushers during our weekend services; they will be glad to take you on a tour!
Take the 8-Week Challenge: It’s hard to judge a Church by attending only one weekend service, so we’ve got a challenge for you. Come each week for 8 weeks and if you don’t see marked improvements in your daily and spiritual life, perhaps we’re not the Church for you; but if you do see a change, then keep on coming because that’s just the beginning of all God has for you!
We Want Your Feedback
We’re all ears! We’d love to hear from you.
It’s always good to get feedback, especially from our first-time guests. Your comments will help us know how we are doing as a church and will assist us in seeing any potential blind spots.
